About Hyacinth Harley Ventures

There has always been a thread.

Across countries, careers, boardrooms, communities, ministry, mentoring and writing, the setting has changed. One question has followed me through it all.

What actually helps people move forward?

The setting changed. The thread remained.
The thread beneath the work

Different rooms. The same human questions.

For more than 25 years, I have led in business, built a training and coaching company, mentored emerging leaders, spoken and moderated conversations across countries, served in ministry and walked alongside people navigating change.

The settings changed, but I kept seeing versions of the same thing.

People could know what mattered and still struggle to live it. Leaders could understand good leadership and still need help translating it into the everyday experience of the people they led. People of faith could believe deeply and still find themselves caught between belief and practice.

What moves what we know from our heads into the way we actually live and lead?
Meet Hyacinth Harley

The work was taking shape long before it had one name.

Looking back, I can see that the different chapters of my career were not disconnected. Each one taught me something about people, possibility, leadership and what it takes to move from intention into practice.

Leadership & business

People were never a side issue.

My executive career took me across countries and cultures and taught me that strategy is only as effective as the people expected to bring it to life. How people experience leadership matters.

Training & mentoring

Information was rarely the missing ingredient.

Through training, coaching and mentoring, I saw intelligent, capable people gain insight and still struggle to make it usable. That sharpened my interest in practical structure: not simply what people need to understand, but what helps them do something with it.

Faith & ministry

Belief needed somewhere to go.

My faith in Jesus Christ has never sat separately from the rest of my life. It shapes how I see people, possibility and purpose. Ministry deepened a conviction already forming through my professional life: belief becomes powerful when we give it something practical to do.

Writing & frameworks

The patterns became frameworks.

Over time, I began giving structure and language to the patterns I had observed. Writing and framework creation made those lessons portable, so an idea could move beyond a conversation and become something another person could understand and use.

What the years taught me

Knowing is important. Knowing what to do next changes things.

I have learned not to confuse understanding with implementation. We can hear something true, agree with it completely and return to the same patterns the following day. We can have vision without structure, intention without practice and even faith without movement.

The best ideas only take root when they are simple enough to understand and practical enough to bring to life.

That is the point that interests me: when a principle stops being something we agree with and begins shaping the way we live, lead, decide and move.

Why I built Hyacinth Harley Ventures

I needed a home large enough for the whole thread.

From the outside, executive leadership, mentoring, ministry, writing, speaking, frameworks and community work can look like separate pursuits. To me, they are expressions of the same purpose.

Hyacinth Harley Ventures gives that purpose a home and room to take different forms. A book can carry an idea. A framework can give it structure. A room can help people work it through together. A conversation can change how a leader sees the people entrusted to them.

Hyacinth Harley is the person.Hyacinth Harley Ventures gives the mission somewhere to grow.
What I believe now

The work is practical because the purpose is real.

Principles matter most when they become visible in the way we live, lead and move forward.
01

I believe faith should shape how we live, not only what we say we believe.

02

I believe clarity matters, but movement begins when we give what we know something practical to do.

03

I believe leadership is measured not only by what we accomplish, but by how people experience being led.

04

I believe unfinished does not mean over. A delayed season can still hold purpose, possibility and a way forward.

05

I believe principles take root through practice, and progress becomes visible in what we consistently choose to live.

The thread continues
“The work may take different forms. The purpose underneath it remains remarkably consistent: helping people understand what matters, find a practical way forward and put it into practice.”

Hyacinth Harley Ventures is where that work now has room to grow.
